Southwest Landscape Workshop

Each trip is custom planned to your specific need. You and David will spend 5 days photographing the Southwest. During that time you will have the opportunity to work with David and see, first hand how he plans and execute his photographs as well as many hours spent planning and executing your own photographs. This is not just about traveling with and watching him work but about your development as a photographer. Each trip is planned around where you want to go and what you need to horn your skills as a landscape photographer. The thrust of each workshop will be a one on one experience that allows you 5 days, 24 hours a day of pure photography. The time spent on the road will be a blend of shooting, discussing technical information, and living your photographs with no interruptions or distractions.

Accommodations are simple-inexpensive roadside motels, the camper and sleeping under the stars.

Travel will be in a 1998 Dodge 2500 with a full camper including bathroom. The destinations can be yours, if you have specific places you want to photograph or "discovery trips" where you just "chase the light.

You will be picked up from the Albuquerque Airport and spend the first evening at David's home near Santa Fe going over maps and gear. The next morning you start out for a 5 day, 6 night adventure returning to David's where you can unwind from the trip and get a good nights sleep before you are driven back to the airport.

The tuition is 2500.00 plus travel expenses. Travel expenses include motel rooms and meals while on the road. David estimates them to be 250.00 - 350.00.

A portfolio and personal phone conversation with David are required for admission. This is a year round workshop sponsored by The Santa Fe Photographic Workshop and Hasselblad Cameras.
